Katie McGowan Launches Collaboration with Vanness Pens
Do you have a passion for the finer things in life? You know—pinky’s out while you sketch away in your Moleskin journal with a pen that feels weighted and heavy in your hand?
Well, you’re in luck, because Arkansas-based tattoo artist and former Ink Master contestant, Katie McGowan, has launched a collaboration with Vanness Pen
McGowan, who appeared on two seasons of Ink Master (seasons 6 and 9) and came back as a coach on season 12, is known for her colorful, mandala tattoos. She wanted to bring her tattoo artwork to the high-end pens.
The unique copper writing instruments are etched with ornate, original artwork from McGowan. One pen features blue and green color accents that elegantly make the bright colors pop against the retro feel of the antique-looking copper.
The color pen comes with a signed and numbered print by McGowan inspired by the artwork inscribed on the pens.
For all the professed pen lovers who geek out about the details, this collectible set is a twist-action, capless rollerball. The pens use the short capless Schmidt refill or Parker-style ballpoint refills.
“These are super rad,” says McGowan in an Instagram post about the collaboration. “You can tell that they’re really well made.”
The collaboration between Vanness and McGowan is limited to a run of 250 pens and is only available for a limited time.
